Carol has been carving since 1979, and painting since 1978.  She began by just trying a bit of everything until she found her main attraction of carving realistic birds and fish.  She is an award winning artist, has competed, taught, and judged birds, fish, and paintings around the country and in Canada - including teaching at both War Eagle and Silver Dollar City seminars.  Her work has been featured in several books, she has illustrated a 100 Bird/Animal Atlas, and she has also been a contributing artist to Woodcarving Illustrated, and featured in Country Woman magazine, as well as Competition (yearly publication).  Carving remains one of her passions and she loves nothing better than passing that knowledge on to others. 

This class is a good beginner level class, or "just for fun".  The carving is simple, and the painting is an easy-to-do style.
